Nudge

Even when you feel at your lowest, it’s still absolutely true that God has a purpose for you! Or many purposes, what might be described as YOUR DESTINY!

God has chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world. Ephesians 1:4-5

Just like Elijah threw his cloak over Elisha, so Jesus throws his ‘mantle’ or robe over us. The Holy Spirit in us displays the Father uniquely, because we are unique. Similarly the Father has a unique destiny or purpose for us and the Holy Spirit can sovereignly come upon us in a unique way.

Also we must obey, particularly when we experience the Holy Spirit stir within us, or the anointing comes upon us. Saul experienced the Holy Spirit at the beginning of His ministry (kingship), even at the end he was given a second chance 1 Samuel 19:24. Sadly, after his amazing experience, Saul still chose to go his own way. Which way will we choose to go when the Holy Spirit gives us a nudge?

Dear Lord please help us to choose to act when your Holy Spirit gives us a ‘nudge’ ! Give us courage and a listening spirit, we pray, Amen
