Holy Spirit’s Favour for you, for others

The Holy Spirit is in you for your favour (for you to experience peace, joy, increase, etc) and the Holy Spirit is on you to bring favour into other people’s lives!

You have Father God’s FAVOUR on your life today!
If you are humble and get yourself to the lowest place . .

But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it) James 4:5

Though He scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, yet He gives His undeserved favor to the low [in rank], the humble, and the afflicted. Proverbs 3:34

For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)–[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble 1 Peter 5:5

Finally He yearns for your love jealously! ‘Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love?’ James 4:6

So welcome him today!

How can we do that? That’s the rub, when we are back in our regular lives today and the next day are we on the lookout for where God is at work or are we too busy with our own affairs and concerns? I have loved this challenge of 40 acts in Lent, last week I was in Morrisons and tried it with a man behind me in the queue. I explained the Lent challenge and then offered to buy his breakfast. He said he didn’t need me to buy his breakfast, but, that he was in real need of prayer. I thought he was having a joke on me until I looked full in his face and then I saw the look of a desperate man. I said yes of course I would pray for him! I have reflected since that every day: I ought to be thinking about being on Father God’s business every morning. Imagine if we got an email from God every morning laying out what He wanted us to do for Him that day!

It’s in the, ‘doing’, that we suddenly find the power of the Holy Spirit is available. Father God never fails to meet a challenge out there in the streets or in your work place! It’s an exciting prospect to think that we could be the bringers of Father God’s favour to people today!
